Blogging is coursework, n'est pas?

Creative Writers & Novelists Rejoice!

So here’s something cool for you all! I’ve embarked on a new project for myself, with some of my friends. And ironically, it’s a perfect example of writing and the use of social networking, just as we’ve been talking about all semester long.

I’m calling it Writers’ Bloc, and it’s a webseries devoted to talking about issues important to writers, particularly novelists. Think of it like a creative writing class like you’d find at any university, but way more casual and hopefully more enjoyable. We take pertinent conversations on content creation, creative writing, and prose construction; fry them until they’re a nice, golden, juicy casual-conversation; then let folks have at the intellectual discourse on an even playing field with the rest of academia.

And just to make sure it ties in evenly with this blog and our class, it’s a project that integrates through multiple social networking platforms. We have a Twitter, a blog acting as our main site, and deliver our content via YouTube! And as an added bonus, the three people I’m working with are people I’ve never met outside of the internet. :] It’s fun stuff, I’ve been planning it for about two months now, and I’m quite excited about it. If you enjoy it, pass a link to the video to any writing friends you might have – it’d be extremely appreciated.
